I arrived late this morning to Absolute Endurance. 7am and I couldn't get a parking spot. After parking down the block and walking a bit, I walked into a bustling active positive environment full of the most dedicated people I know. YOU. The gym floor was busy and the Computrainer class was full. There were a couple of physiotherapy and massage appointments going on as well. February 3rd and all of this. Realizing full well that all of you have busy full and hectic lives, it made me stop and reflect for a moment. Good for all of you, congrats!
Often we offer advice on cycling, running, nutrition, coaching, strength etc etc. While we are always encouraging and positive to all of the athletes in this sport, we should always take a moment to say congrats. I can think of many folks at at 6am who would never dream of getting up at that time let alone follow a structured program all with the goal of just improving in mind.
After I reflected for a moment I took the time to chat with a few of the people working out. While each one of them had a very different level of fitness and ability they all had one common element. DESIRE TO IMPROVE!
It didnt take me long to remember the main reason why we love what we do so much. YOU. So as you set that alarm clock tonite for 4 something, and set the coffee pot for STRONG, LOL, just remember that on behalf of our entire team here we want to tell you all Congrats and keep up the great work.
See you at AETT soon, I wont be late next time either.
